In Buttercups and Cranes, I wanted to explore the delicate balance between nature’s fleeting beauty and the enduring might of industry.

The foreground is alive with wild buttercups, their soft forms captured in gentle focus, a reminder of nature’s quiet persistence. Beyond them, the towering cranes of London Gateway Port dominate the horizon, their stark silhouettes a testament to human ambition and progress. 

This black-and-white composition strips away distraction, leaving only the raw contrast between the fragile and the formidable. It’s a piece for those who appreciate the tension between the natural world and the structures we build within it.
